Board of Trustees

The Garner Public Library Board of Trustees is a group of six Garner residents and one rural Hancock County resident,
each appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council, whose collective duties include:
  • Hiring the library director.
  • Approving and monitoring the Budget.
  • Developing and Adopting Policies.
  • Planning for the Library’s Future.
  • Evaluating Service and Advocating for Advancements.
Board members serve six-year terms.
The Board meets at 5:30 pm the first Tuesday of each month.
